    Grand Canal is the longest ancient canal in the world. It starts from Beijing in the north and ends at Hangzhou of Zhejiang Province in the south. With overall length of 1794km, it flows through Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province and links up five water systems, i.e. Haihe River, Yellow River, Huaihe River, Yangtze River and Qiantang River to form a unified water transport network.
