Landscape belt of Grand Canal includes five scenic areas, i.e. Rouged Spring Blossoms Flanking Half the Road, Imperial Dock, River Bridge in Misty Rain, Qingsha Ancient Town, Beixing Park. The landscape zone reappears the prosperity of “ten-league silver Hushu along thousand-year ancient canal” in the past.

The landscape belt along Grand Canal in Gongshu District extends from Wulinmen Ferry Terminal in the south to Shixiang Road in the north and is featured the layout of “one line, two bands, three areas and multiple dots”. One line refers to landscape stripe along the Grand Canal. Two bands refer to east and west banks of Grand Canal. Three areas refer to 1) Jiangzhang Bridge-based area that displays characteristic commercial culture, religion culture and warehousing culture; 2) Xiaohe Street-based region that focuses on history of clubs developed  in traditional commercial society and the landscape feature of “one river meeting five water systems”; 3) Gongchen Bridge-based region that focused on civilian house, old streets and industrial development history of Hangzhou. The multiple dots refer to over 40 scenic spots dotted along the Grand Canal. 

Among the over 40 landscape nodes on the both banks, there are traditional scenic spots represented by “eight scenic spots in Hushu” as well as cultural relics under protection, such as Garden of Gao Family, Imperialism Customs and Mulberry Hut. The scenic spots on the east bank mainly include Beixing Park, Canal Cultural Plaza, Qingsha Ancient Town, Hecheng Square, Fuyi Granary Culture Park, Imperial Dock and Royal Pavilion. The scenic spots on the west bank mainly include: Loft Cultural Park, West Bridge Historic Culture Reservation Block, Xiaohe Historic Reservation Block, Canal Business District, Zuo Hou Pavilion and Rouged Spring Blossoms Flanking Half the Road.
